RIFE is getting noticed for its JDBC wrapping framework

Over the past months, RIFE is starting to pull in quite some interest not only for the unique features in the web engine (like continuations), but also for the functionalities that we provide in the JDBC wrapping framework.

Most notably:

  • Exploring Active Record (Bruce Tate on DeveloperWorks)

RIFE with promise: One new Java framework that's moving toward sophistication as a wrapping framework is RIFE (and its subproject RIFE/Crud). At the core, RIFE's persistence has three major layers ...

  • RIFE uses a builder approach to sql statements which is very useful for dynamic query generation.

  • RIFE provides a very nice API for accessing relational databases as... relational databases. RIFE uses a builder approach to sql statements, like ...
  • RIFE: JDBC bliss (Hynek Schlawack on his blog)

This is how accessing a DB should be like: Short and straight to the point.

  • The RIFE framework has functionality which abstracts the Sql Create Table statement into Java classes. The fundamental reason to use an abstraction instead of writing the Sql directly is that the underlying framework generates Sql specific to the targeted database...

It's nice to see people paying attention to the other parts of our full-stack framework.
