Apple Boot Camp : officially run Windows on your Intel Mac without moving your Mac data

Boot CampApple releases Boot Camp as a beta preview of their upcoming Leopard version of MacOSX.

Boot Camp allows you to run WindowsXP alongside MacOSX on your Intel Mac and provides you with all the necessary drivers to do so.

Just as I was about to go through it manually ... this announcement came through. Installation started, I'll report how it goes.

Update: Apple Boot Camp trashed my Mac partition, losing all my data

Hi Geert,

looking forward to hearing your experiences. Especially how stable and responsive windows is. Does Eclipse work flawlessly? How is the 3D performance? And how usable windows is with just one mouse button? ... I'm gonna buy a core duo notebook the next days (until today I was quite sure that I won't buy one from Apple)...

Also I would like to know if the MacBook Pro consumes more electrical power running on windows than on OSX (and thus has a shorter battery life on windows)...
